OUR HISTORY

2002​

Founded as a family business, quickly becoming North America’s largest travel company

2010​

Royalton Hotels & Resorts launches with a 200-room seasonal hotel.​ NexusTours joins the group, laying the foundation for what will become BDI.​

2012

Royalton Construction enters the industry, building and renovating resorts in Jamaica and the Dominican Republic. The Loyalty Business Unit is established

2014

Royalton Hotels & Resorts opens its first fully developed resort, built from the ground up in collaboration with Blue Diamond Construction.​

2015

Royalton Asset Management strengthens its footprint with operations in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Mexico

2016​

Royalton Hotels & Resorts is officially recognized as “The Fastest Growing Hotel Chain in the Caribbean."​

2017​

The portfolio expands to over 13 resorts, with new operations launching in Saint Lucia.

2018

The Planet Hollywood Beach Resorts concept makes its debut, redefining themed luxury experiences.

2019

Introduction of overwater bungalows, a groundbreaking addition to the hospitality portfolio.

2020​

Expansion into Grenada, adding another premier destination to the network.

2021

Royalton Hotels & Resorts and Marriott International forge a historic strategic partnership, reshaping the hospitality landscape.

2022

The portfolio reaches 40 resorts, under both ownership and management models.

2023

Royalton International is officially established, consolidating a powerhouse of sister companies.
